After attending Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music, where he was first introduced to Dalcroze Eurhythmics, Evan Alboum became a professional movement artist, specializing in physical comedy at the piano. He then became an actor appearing in musical theater, commercials, contemporary plays and Shakespeare. He has since taught in public schools on both coasts as a classroom music teacher and teaching artist teaching composition and doing residencies designed to teach children how to listen to and love classical music. Evan has an MA in Music from Oberlin and an MEd from Loyola Marymount University. He has completed level 1 training in Dalcroze, Kodaly and Orff.

This project is a result of scores of music educators and others asking Evan to create and market these creations for a larger audience, rather than the smaller local workshops that they have attended. His hope is that students and musicians will experience the tremendous joy and humor that his students and colleagues have received from participating in these movement works.
